Meet Our Teacher

Pamela Frank

Pamela has lived in the Pacific Northwest for the last 13 years with her husband and three daughters. She began working in co-op preschool 10 years ago, where she saw first-hand the benefits of parent involvement in early childhood education while working with her own children. This led her to volunteer as a Board Member at West Edmonds Co-op Preschool.  She served the families in various roles both in and out of the classroom, including Chairperson and substitute teacher. When her youngest child moved on to Kindergarten, Pamela became a lead teacher at Playful Learning Co-op Preschool.

Over the last 6 years Pamela has provided play-based learning at PLCP for all of our three classrooms, serving children ages 2-5. Pamela brings her personal understanding and love of all things co-op to the parents and children each year through curriculum and leadership. She enjoys planning themed activities that meet children’s developmental needs, while offering sensory exploration, social interaction, and lots of giggles!

Pamela believes that children best develop a love for learning and grow in their social-emotional development when they are in an environment that is safe and intentional.  With this in mind, Pamela strives to create a classroom where children not only feel safe and welcome upon entering, but can leave knowing that they are included, seen, and loved.

When Pamela is not in the classroom, or planning her lessons, you will find her watching her daughters play soccer, volunteering her time with Edmonds Toy Shop, and snuggling her rescue cat Socrates or her rescue dog Brakken.

Just for Fun:

If you could ask an animal a question, what would it be? I’d reach out to my favorite Care Bear, Funshine, and ask her favorite ideas for having fun and making friends smile.

If you could ban one vegetable forever, what would it be? Definitely mushrooms!

If you could be any color in a crayon box, what would it be? Either Laser Lemon or Violet.
